Cellular immunotherapy requires the set up of GMP-compatible procedures. The transfer of experimental methods is done to clinical scale cell engineering. This ‘upscale’ to GMP methods includes, new reagents, techniques and the set up of new SOP’s. Pre-validation runs of cell engineering and the respective Quality Control (QC) are performed. This includes cell selection techniques as well as a wide array of genetic engineering under S2 conditions.
The set-up of the GMP-conform manufacturing process includes automatization of manufacturing and Quality Control (QC) procedures, build-up of organizational infrastructures and preparation of regulatory production approval.
